All OKs should by now have received a Newsletter (NL32) and a DataSurvey. Please respond to both if possible - or at least to one of them. I really need to be certain that everyone is receiving these messages.

NEWSFLASH This site will soon be replaced by http://www.khormaksarschool.org.uk

All current OKs will be informed when the site is fully operational but you're welcome to view progress (or possibly lack of it !). We do at least have a guestbook there that is working

N.B. If you've suddenly found yourself here rather than on the new site then you probably clicked on one of the links for which code hasn't yet been prepared. Hopefully that facility will work on your next visit.

This is a website for Khormaksar school. To date (May 2007), approximately 350 other ex-pupils have contacted me and brief details of all of them are available - though we have actually 'lost' 50 of them (see below). We feel that the web page has been a useful way of contacting old friends and we've even had a couple of reunion meetings as a result.

Many of the members have contributed pictures or articles about their time in Aden .If you would like to forward me any contributions of your own I'd be very pleased to hear from you and will certainly try and publish them. I am trying to publicise this site to all members of the FriendsReunited web site who are registered as having attended our school and have posted a link to it on the FR site. There are also links to several other relevant sites.

N.B. Those who have already contacted me have been given a url for a "members’ page". From that it is possible to view the membership list, some contributions by other members and enter a discussion forum.

Here's the list of "Lost OKs"

I would particularly welcome any additions to the names of kids with whom I shared a classroom - there should be over 50 of them but I'm struggling to get my list into double figures. Here are the ones I've managed so far -  Classlists

I’m doing even worse than that with the staff !

I don’t even know a lot about the History of the establishment – and would particularly appreciate help with this : with any luck, contributions from students who were there a few years before or after me might enable a comprehensive history to be built up.

Although attempting to follow English exam curricula, our school had several unusual features – e.g. working hours , unusual field trips etc. We even (almost) had our own language ! Even the things we seemed to have in common with English schools were just that bit different – e.g. Scouts

We have an area set aside for members’ pictures – still plenty of room for more.

Ann Swallow (née Amos) has found a map of the area which we may find useful. One of the sites listed in the links page has a marine chart which also has many land details.

Pat Mobbs (née Davies) has found a copy of the Air Day Programme from November 1960. A few brief comments about it plus links to two different versions of it (at different resolutions so hence file sizes) can be found here.

To keep members abreast of developments I have been sending out frequent "newsletters"

Some of these links may be of help to anyone reading these pages.

It would be very helpful if you could sign our guestbook.
